file system spaced not show the change and send event to CMS
2. Configure disk threshold in managed system linux is ok and can see it from SMH, send snmp trap can see it in CMS
3. My question is when I change the file system space size from warning to critical in managed system; But this change did not reflect in SMH, also it did not send trap event to SIM CMS.
4. From my CMS "managed communication" for this system, it did not show out "event" is green.

try restarting your management agents on the linux box, sometimes these things seem to need a kick to get them going !

Re: file system spaced not show the change and send event to CMS
1. I have reboot it, after reboot it will update the file system spaced. But if I change file system space size to test it again. SMH file system space still did not refresh really size. And no event send to CMS.
2. If I restart hp-snmp-agents/snmpd/hpsmhd,
then it will update the file size in SMH.
My question is :
1. How to let SMH size refresh to real size ? I can't restart those agents every time.
2. How can I let those event send to SIM/CMS ?

Re: file system spaced not show the change and send event to CMS
don't test it by moving the thresholds , test it by using up the space on the drives with some dummy files/data until it reaches the threshold limits you've set.

Yes, I delete files and copy files to make space low the threshold and over the threshold. And it's not work.

just checking, but have you got the hp sim server configured as the trap recipient in the snmp settings with a valid community string.
have you had events from this server before ?
is snmpd running ?

Re: file system spaced not show the change and send event to CMS
But if I run
1. /etc/init.d/hp-snmp-agents restart
2. service snmpd restart
then from SMH can see the disk space has updated to new. Even this time the space size changed from warning to critical, SMH can see it indicate red color as major error; but SIM did not get the event.
