how much traffic does HPSIM produce?

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering how much traffic the use of HP Systems Insight Manager produces per managed server.
Certainly there is no universally valid value.
But i'm sure you can tell me, if its closer to 0,1 MB, 1MB or even 10MB per day.

Manual discovery ~ 150KB - bidirectional communication client-server SIM.
The same when you run manual refresh, view for example hdd status, or log to the SIM agent.
In my test environment:
SNMP notification (failed disk, array rebuilding, etc) <1KB for each event, only SNMP protocol is used.

As you note, this is a multiple-variable equation. The good news is that HP SIM is tunable. Can you share some of the size parameters of your environment?

it's a pretty small network - compared with other networks which are managed by the Insight Manager ;-)
around 20 server...
