hi
i am running hp sim 5.1 sp1 and i have some old dl360 (g1) servers (running w2k3 standard sp1) that need their PSP upgrading,
currently they are on version 7.51 and according to hp sim they should be on 7.9
when i check on the hp website software drivers and download section and i search for dl360 servers and select the OS w2k3 it shows me that the latest supported version is 7.60 (see link below)
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/69_1123.html
my question is should i believe hp sim and upgrade to 7.9 or should i just upgrade to 7.6 and ignore hp sim software status
many thanks
rogier

The software status is reporting that it's out of date because you have set the reference support pack to 7.9.
Page 23 of ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/management/smartstart/serversupportmatric.pdf shows that PSP 7.6 is the last and final PSP for a DL360G1 running WS03.

Re: hp sim 5.1 sp1 and software version proliant dl360 question
i will update to 7.6, the reference support pack is set to none and not to 7.9 but i will set it to 7.6 and hopefully it will show correctly afterwards
thanks
