Re: hp sim 7.3 not working
You first have to uninstall the Hp System Insight Manager, the rest can be left on the server. When you reinstall the software, the setup will create a new database, this database is not needed when you edited your config files to point to your old database. Only problem could be that you have to recreatie your trusts. If you need the namens of the files you need to edit just reply to this post, but that info can easily found in this forum....
Did you look if the domainmgr.exe grows and then stays at a certain memorystick usage ? As a last resort did you try Firefox to try and connect the the https://simserver:50000
Good luck !
Kind regards,
Andrew

Re: hp sim 7.3 not working
Hello again,
Strange, i'dd think SIM is still running, but you just can't access it. I bet the mx log shows sheduled jobs are still running. If you tried with more than one browser and you still can't connect to the Sim webinterface i would make an export for the objects in Sim and start over. Just one more question, how big is your database?
If you use mxnode -ln > c:\nodes.txt you can backup the node in SIM. If that works you have proven that the database is still accessable.
Kind regards,
Andrew

Re: hp sim 7.3 not working
Hi guys, here is the result of my support case:
- For a new installation see http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/mostViewedDisplay/?javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.prp_efb5c0793523e51970c8fa22b053ce01=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Dmmr_kc-0114705-6%257CdocLocale%253Den_US&javax.portlet.tpst=efb5c0793523e51970c8fa22b053ce01&sp4ts.oid=489496&ac.admitted=13929...
- For an upgrade see http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/mostViewedDisplay/?sp4ts.oid=489496&spf_p.tpst=psiContentDisplay&spf_p.prp_psiContentDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Dmmr_kc-0114700%257CdocLocale%253Den_US&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken
This should solve the issue. As suspected, NTLM hardening as fault with use of new JTDS driver.
Note: 2nd link might be dead but should be up soon ;)
