hpasm reconfigure

I had an issue where a Linux server was no lober seeing the HW via the SMH. I had to run 'hpasm reconfigure' and it has resolved the issue. Any idea what may have happened and what the reconfigure fixed?

What version of hpasm are we talking about? If it is prior to 7.1, a kernel change would cause that...

It's hpsmh from the 7.4 PSP which is hpsmh-2.1.2-127.
