hpsmh 2.1.10-186 sles 10 adding local interface ips to 2381

hi, i am trying to hpsmh on sles 10, but every time i do the changes in the smhdp.conf file and restart the hpsmhd service the changes are gone , please help me make the changes permanent, how to bind other ips other than localhost
