I have upgraded to SIM 5.1 but i now seem to have a process called mxpassword.exe using about 80% of CPU resources.

Re: performance with SIM 5.1
Hi
Have you upgraded to HP SIM 5.1 or HP SIM 5.1 SP1 ?
The mxpassword command allows the user to add, remove, modify, and list the passwords stored for use with Systems Insight Manager.
In a mormal behaviour, you should only see processes like mxdomainmgr, mxdtf and mxinventory.exe. it is strange to see the mxpassword command running there after the upgrade.
Have you checked the installation logs ? They should be located on the C: drive at the root.
do you encounter any issues trying to connect to HP SIM, no db issues ?
hope it helps

Re: performance with SIM 5.1
Hi
I went from 5 to 5.1sp1. I can't see anything in the logs that point to a problem. Everything seems to be working well appart from MXPASSWORD i may re install over the top. If it will let me.
