proliant series server disk failures monitoring

there are proliant series servers (win 2K and 2K3) and SAN in our server farm how can I monitor disk failures with HP SIM

Depends on the type of SAN and what is monitoring that.
You'd need to be a bit more specific.

If the MA8000 uses HSG Controllers like the EMA12000 then you need to install and configure the HS Agent. It should be part of the MA8000 Platform Kit, part of the Storageworks Command Console (SWCC) Install if I recall correctly.

Once installed it is under Start->Programs->Command Console->HS Series Agent Configurator. You need to set it up to send SNMP Traps back to the HPSIM Server.

This Agent can be installed on a number of Servers and will report any disk failures to wherever it is configured to send them to.
