"Rack" object in SIM

Hello,

Is a rack object (part of the whole blade system hierarchy) supposed to have any type of valid hardware status. Mine shows as a question mark. Did not know if this was normal or not. I am guessing since it is just metal it just defaults to a ? status.

Re: "Rack" object in SIM

A full "citizen" of HP SIM is something with an IP address. The 'rack' construct that HP SIM uses is a container for enclosures. Enclosures (through OA) have an IP address, but the rack does not.

Re: "Rack" object in SIM

Rack has no electronics in it and cannot be managed.
