"The system could not be added" discovery error in HP System Insight Manager v5.1
Hi,
I recently upgraded HP SIM from v5.0 SP5 to v5.1.
It shows a few Orphan-xxx servers after the upgrade. One of the Orphaned servers has multiple IP addresses in it. I deleted the Compaq Insight Manager key in the registry of those servers and restarted the SNMP service (which restarted the HP agents). I also deleted all the Orphaned servers in SIM.
The problem is I got the following error while re-discoering those servers in SIM.
The system could not be added for the following reasons:
The system could not be added. (servername )
I have confirmed all the Orphaned servers are deleted and the servers or IP addreasses that I tried to discover are not in SIM. I also ran mxconfigrepo -c and then mxconfigrepo -f. It said "completed database checking with no errors".
Any ideas on how to fix this issue.
Thanks,
Cez
