"Unknown HP SNMP Device"

I have just upgraded one of our Proliant servers with the latest Support Pack and HP agents but it is appearing in the CMS as "Unknown HP SNMP Device"?

If I go into the Management Homepage it recognises it as a Proliant DL360 G4.

Re: "Unknown HP SNMP Device"

Unknown means SNMP can contact the device but does not have permissions to interrogate it further.
On the server SNMP should have the HPSIM Server as an allowed host and also a suitable Read Only community name. This is configured both in HPSIM and the server.

1 All you re server SNMP setting are set for TRAPS>Communite name(correc name),TRAPS>Communite name>traps destination> 1-server Insight & 2-127.0.0.1

#2 All you re server snmp setting are set for SECURITE> Accepted community name>Communite name(correc name),All you re server snmp setting are set for SECURITE> Accepted community name>Communite name> Accepted packet from these host>1-server Insight & 2-127.0.0.1.

3# in youre Home page manegement>Setting>Securite

B_IP Restricted Login-Nothing
C_Local Server Certificate-Nothing
D_Local/Anonymous Access-Nothing
E_Trust Mode>Secure Trust Modes:Trust by Certificate

Re: "Unknown HP SNMP Device"

The server is now displaying the correct info.

I think since the CMS did the daily discovery.

Thanks for the input though!
