redhat 5.3 SMH reporting false minor alarm to SIM 5.3

After upgrading to PSP 8.20 (from 8.10) on some redhat 5.3 systems, the SMH is reporting Minor (Yellow) via SIM but the SMH shows ok (all green) when displayed. This minor condition carries through to my Insight Integration to HP Openview. Anybody seen this or have any clues?
