This is only the case with servers, ILO's are listed with their DNS names.
We would like to have our servers listed with their hostname or DNS name instead of serial number.
So far, the only way I found was to manually change the system name for each server (500+) to the hostname.
Is there any way to list the servers with their hostnames instead of serial numbers automatically?
Thanks in advance.

SolutionI've seen issues where HP SIM discovers the server via the Blade Chassis or ILO before the discovery itself finds it.
If DNS is correct you could just try re-identifying the server.
Failing that, delete and rediscover.

Re: system name shows serial number instead
The servers were indeed discovered by the blade chassis or ILO.
Complete solution here was:
- delete all systems
- unchech following options in the discovery settings:
- Automatically discover a server when its Integrated Lights Out management processor is identified
- Discover systems in an enclosure when Onboard Administrator is discovered
- re-discover

Re: system name shows serial number instead
Redisovering all systems by unchecking the mentioned options worked in my case.
