Re: version control repo. setting

Hi amir,

If you want to download w2k3 32bit components. Install VCA on w2k3 32bit and point to the VCRM. So that the VCRM will download only w2k3 components.
Same for all other OS.

Thanks

Re: version control repo. setting

When a Version control agent is configured to a Version control rep (browse to VCA homepage and click change agent settings and give VCRM machine details to configure VCA to VCRM). Then the OS details of the machine where the VCA is installed will be recognised by VCRM (suppose VCA is installed on w2k3 32bit). THen if you initiate the download of components from VCRM it will download w2k3 32bit components.

OS details of all VCA configured to VCRM can be seen from the file in the VCRM machine under the path \hp\hpsmh\data\cgi-bin\vcrepository\vcainf.xml

Thanks

Re: version control repo. setting

Browse to VCRM and goto catalog tab, on the left panel there is option "delete items from the repository".

If my post really helped. You can assign points.

Thanks

Re: version control repo. setting

Yes, you can manually delete as well.
It will rebuild with the newly downloaded components.

Thanks

Re: version control repo. setting

Predator,

I have been wondering where the VCA settings are saved on the server. You mentioned the vcainf.xml file which I do not have on my targets. I just again modified the VCA settings on one of my targets to point to a particular PSP and still do not see the directories or the .xml file you listed.

Re: version control repo. setting

Hi Mike,

vcainf.xml will be in the vcrm machine which contains the details of all vca's configured to that vcrm.
vca machine will have vcagent.options file which stores the vcrm details which the vca is configured to.

Thnx
