0x2x16 G3 KVM Console Switch + HP LCD 8500 1U Console + HP DL380 Gen10

Hello!

HP DL380 Gen10 is locally connected to 0x2x16 G3 KVM Console Switch + HP LCD 8500 1U Console. Opeating system(debian-based distro) detects diasplay as "default" with maximum resolution 1152x864. As we know, HP LCD 8500 have maximum resolution 1600x1200. Could you help me to change resolution to maximum value ?

Thanks in advance.

While the monitor may support 1600x1200 (UXGA) the quicspec for the HPE KVM Analog Console Switches  including HPE 0x2x16 G3 KVM Console Switch AF652A list the Video Modes Supported as VGA, SVGA, and XGA. Verify that your debian based distribution kernel has an mgag200 driver that supports the new Matrox chip in iLO5 Matrox G200eH3

I'd suggest trying to connect the monitor directly and see if you can get a higher resolutuon. This will help narrow down a driver issue or max supported resolution of the KVM

First of all, thank you for your response.

I will check direct link after the holidays. But now I can say:
1. The Kernel has mgag200 driver.
2. “default” monitor is looks like EDID is not supported by the kvm switch.

Roman.
