5.5 kva Power Trust UPS

We recently acquired 5.5kva Power Trust UPS. It appears to be incomplete. The UPS unit is someting at the back. The battery power pack has number 09503130/J97LA0029. No documnetation in the box. Looking for some info to figure out what is missing and how to hookup the unit

Re: 5.5 kva Power Trust UPS

Hi there.
The order# for the manual is A3329-90002.
Three basic components :
Electronics Unit, Battery box and service bypass unit.
Try to get that manual. To describe the details is far too much now.
Which version of UPS do you have ?
North America or worldwide ?
The rear panel is the service bypass unit.
The front panel is the electronics unit.
The battery box : one unit contains 10 battery packs, one battery pack is a sealed unit with one rechargeable battery.
if you need more info, mail me at Alexander_Ermes@web.de

Re: 5.5 kva Power Trust UPS

Hi there.
Sorry for late reaction.
The sounds you mention comne from the loading of the batteries. On the backside of the UPS there should be conector pannels. An electrotechnician should be able to find out, what is goung on with this. Without a documentation you are just in the middle of nowhere. Did you try to get the book i told you ?
If you connect powerdistributors to the outlet, you should be able to connect anything to this device.

Re: 5.5 kva Power Trust UPS

Hi there.
Just checked a few things.
There are three LED's on the front panel.
Top LED green light : AC output
AC supplied to output receptacles

One down : Battery power
yellow lights indicates unit supplying power from batteries

bottom LED : Attention
yellow light indicates multiple meanings
There are about 16 different explanations to the combination of lights and beeps.

In your case i would check the input power.
1. Power loss
2. line stabilizer, ferro-resonant transformer causing waveform distortion
3. poor site power, poor utility power or large phase controlled devices
4. Operatinmg from poor site wiring
5. Frequency from AC input out of range
Check main input breaker switched ON,
UPS is plugged properly into a power source.

Check these and let me know.
