If not, it may cost too much and be cheaper to trash it.
Before going to that length, try seeing if you can set the terminal to use port2 to use that.It is a long time since I worked on one of these.

there is not a loop back on the datacomm ports. The test is started by
pressing
terminals can also "jump" into this test without actually pressing the
key sequence. The only way to clear the error and return to normal
operation is to turn the terminal off, press and hold down the "D" key,
and turn the terminal back on while holding the "D" key down for about
10 seconds.
If you can't solve it with a terminal reset... kiss the box good bye
