A2941A Power Trust and Solaris Server

Hi!

I received an used UPS HP A2941A. I want to connect it to my Sun Servers. Anyone any ideas with which programs you could bring the server down if the UPS fails. And if it is possible to check the UPS status from the server.

Is this UPS also protecting from thunder? Or other problems with the voltage? Any documents for that UPS available?

It seems to be hard to find any documentation for this UPS. The link below is how to connect a UPS to a Linux computer but perhaps it can give you some ideas for Solaris too.
