Amber light on drive

Hi,

We have a DL380p G8 with an odd problem. We had one disk fail so we replaced it with new. After the array was rebuilt the disk shows an amber light (including the activity ring) however the health status LED on the server is showing green and the iLO reports the disk and array as healthy. We swapped for another new disk but the problem remains.

We were seeing different firmware versions on the disks so these were updated to the most recent but this has made no difference to the issue.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Google is usually a friend but "amber light on HP disk" just returns lot's of disk has failed hits...

Can you attach screenshot of existing running disk detail and new replaced disk?

I can do the current disk but not the failed disk as it was disposed of in an electrical waste collection.

Also do you mean a screenshot of it in the iLO or actual disk?

If you replaced to same disk not an issue, if problem persist try to add another spare disk and check.
