Do you got "rack and power manager" working ? Tell me how

Hi,

We have got several R3000XR ups's and want to manage them with rack and power manager. I installed the management server on a proliant 5500 w2k (also tried NT4) but it doesn't work. When I try to browse to https://hostname:3257 as noted in the documentation it doesn't respond. I did a netstat -a to see if it is listening to port 3257, but it isn't. Did you do anything special to get it working or am I doing something wrong?

TIA
Eelco (will assign points!)

We have the same problem

Did you managed to get it working ?

I found another message about RPM (in Management Software > General) from Stephanos Manos

He managed to solve the problem, but it still doesn't work with us

Filip

I had feedback from HP Before installing regional settings must be English(US).

HI,

could you specify some details?
Under -Start- -Programs- -HPRPM- is there
more than the uninstall Button?

If there is only the uninstall link, try this:
Uninstall the RPM
set the Regional Options in the Control settings to "english US"
reinstall the RPM
redo the settings for the regional options

This worked for me.

Hoi Keilhauer,

that's right
first uninstall RPM if the regional settings were other than "English US"

after installing RPM, you can change your regional settings

it's only necessary for the manager thus not for both agents
