EO1004A KVM Password RESET

Hello,

I have a Compaq 4port KVM switch EO1004A (147092-001) and I need to reset the password.

Could you please help me out to reset it.

Hi, try the Reset button on the back panel of the switch.

Hi,.

Thanks for the reply.

I have read the manual and I couldn't find anything about clearing the password.

And the button on the back is for reseting the console switch in case of a mouse/keyboard lock up.

What i haven't tried yet is to connect to the switch using the serial port. Or do a firmware update.

But I hoped someone here already had the solution. And I still need me to find a serial cable.

So any other suggestions are very welcome.
