General Poll CISC Vs RISC/EPIC

Hi Friends,

Gone the days when CISC (X86/X86-64 - Xeon, AMD Opteron) models were not very flexible and scalable. Now, with quad core offerings, more than 64GB RAM offerings, around 12 in-box HDD offerings, and even virtualization, things have drastically changed.

With all this in market, I'm analyzing the actual fitments of such a flexible offerings, and the more I analyze, the more I'm confused. So, came to the forum of tech-guru, to seek a poll whether current or future CISC based offerings are going to capture (if not instantly, then slowly)true 64-bit RISC/EPIC low and mid range server market?
