Getting the R3000 XR UPS to recognize the extended runtime module
Has anyone had luck with this? I can't find anyone in tech support who knows much about the UPS line. I've downloaded patches that I've found (1.2.13 for the ERM software and 1.7 for the R3000 XR) with no luck. I configure the UPS for 1 ERM but it doesn't take. If I disconnect and reconnect the software it show's 0 ERM's configured and 7 minutes of runtime. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Getting the R3000 XR UPS to recognize the extended runtime module
Hi. Jonathan
I've put in a couple of these now. It sounds like your doing all the right things. Could the problem be that the connector at the back of the UPS to the ERM is not in properly?? Its a very tight fit. It also need to go in a particular way, the connector goes from the bottom right hand corner of the ERM to the bottom left of the UPS. basically the ERM is upside down (if you follow the manual)
Hope this helps

Re: Getting the R3000 XR UPS to recognize the extended runtime module
Hey people,
for 3 long days i am trying to force ERM configurator to see ERM module. I have r3000 XR UPS connected to proper ERM module.
I can connect to UPS without any problems through ERM console but when i try to add ERM module i get error command could not be implemented (32). I measured electricity on ERM module and it gives 119 volts. I also refresh fw on ups and tried 10 different approachs. Power manager also does not see new capacity wich is explainable by the erm sw mulfunction.
r3000 XR UPS fw ver. 1.9
ERM ver. 1.2.20
I dont know what to do anymore, same on W2k Server and W2k03 Server. I did everything in readme.txt and all manuals i could find. Help in ERM software is not helpfull.
