HP IP Console Switch - video subsystem failed
Hi.
I try to establish a KVM connection to our servers. Everytime I got the message "Unable to connect to the Console Switch. Reason: The video subsystem has failed".
Ok. Last day I ran into our datacenter and started the diagnostic tool. It showed a red cross on the "Remote User Video" entry.
So I searched for firmware upgrades, found 2.1.5 A and installed it. Started the diagnostic again and had the same. Tried to connect by the "HP IP CONSOLE VIEWER" program and got the "video subsystem failed" error message again.
No connection possible. So... I don't know what to do. Is our "HP IP Console Switch 3x1x16" damaged? It's less than 2 years old.
Have anyone an idea?
Best regards,
Dennis

Re: HP IP Console Switch - video subsystem failed
Hi.
The only way that worked was to replace this hardware with a new one. Our KVM switch problem was within the warranty. So they send us a new switch without problems.
The new one works perfectly.
That's the best way to handle this problem, I think.
Bye,
Dennis
