HP Proliant DL380 G6 hard drive driver
Hello All.
My clients server hard drive had crashed and i am replacing the hard drive.
I am struggling to find the driver so windows 2012 server can detect the hard drive.
When you get to the point when windows wants to partition your drive, there is nothing there and it asked me to browse and install the driver.
I am using the front bays for the hard drive.
Regards
Gerald

Re: HP Proliant DL380 G6 hard drive driver
Hello Gerry,
Good day,
I suppose there is a HP Smart Array P410i controller in the server (which comes default in this model),
Please download windows 2012 driver from below link:
* RECOMMENDED * HP ProLiant Smart Array SAS/SATA Controller Driver for Windows Server 2012 x64 Edition
You can extract and keep the files into a pen drive and use during windows installation.
Steps:
- Boot the system and begin Windows 2012 R2 installation from CD or from ISO connected via remote console on the iLO.
- Click the Install Windows.
- Custom Installation.
- Storage window – choose Have Disk. Make sure USB is plugged in on the server.
- Choose the HP driver.
- Click next and the installation should continue.
Regards,
Sudhir
