Re: HP Systems Info
System handle is with which can can open a case based with HP on issues. HP needs this for them to provide support or a serial number might help also.

Re: HP Systems Info
-----
Upon registration of an HP Partner Care Extended support contract, a "system handle/service agreement ID" is issued to the purchaser. The system handle/service agreement ID is the authorizing key to allow submittal of incidents. HP Partner Care Extended support will recognize possession of the system handle/service agreement ID as authorization by the owner and so will respond to incidents submitted using that identifier and will reduce the available incident count appropriately.
The system handle/service agreement ID will need to be added to the HP common logon for each user that is obtained through the HP Passport link on the partner care website. If a new system handle/service agreement ID is obtained or the system handle/service agreement ID name is changed, a modification will need to be made via HP Passport, edit profile web page.

Re: HP Systems Info
nice to see you again.
Well to talk briefly and in general, System Handle is the Name given by the HP Engineer to your system (New one) after successfull installation and which goes into HP's Database alongwith all System details.
That makes HP to track your Systems warranty period and provide you free support whenever you raise a call.
Call logging is done only with the System Handle and that makes HP aware of the System.
For.e.g Tilvesaheb yetat machine install karatat, tyala ek handle detat (mostly it is system name), installation report banawtat aani tyachyawar system handle taktat aani to HP la pathavtat...nanter tu problem aala ke installation report warcha system handle hp la sangto aani tilve saheb parat alto gheun dhavat yetat. :)
Ase aahe te..gammat re.
