Re: HP UPS management module managing multiple UPSs
The HP UPS management module has embedded on the board software (firmware) for managing the UPS where it's installed on. You can download the agent to install on servers (called HP UPS module protection agent). Note this is NOT the same agent for HP Power Manager (HPPM)or HP Rack and Power Manager which is retired.
In few words each UPS Management Module will only manage 1 UPS, which for me is very disappointing that HP came up with that.

Re: HP UPS management module managing multiple UPSs
Agree, it seem to be disapointing.
The enigneers isn't stupid, nor evil. Normally when things are discontinued, they have come up with something better, or nobody is using it. (Hot swap pci was removed, because nobody used it)
They are writing a lot aboute SIM (Systems Insight Manager) integration, so possibly the features from the old HPPM is now handled by SIM.
A lot of things is being moved to SIM.
As a workaround, if you need to run a redundant setup (Superb feature), see if you can get it to work, using the old HPPM
