I have an HP T1000 INTL UPS and it is connected via USB cable to a PC running Windows 7 Professional.
Although the UPS can be seen in the Devices and Printers list in the Control Panel; it is not discovered when it is scanned for via the HP Power Protector.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: HPE Power Protector - Quick Scan cannot discover device
Hi,
Which generation of the UPS it is?
Make sure that you are running the latest firmware for the UPS based on the generation which you can download from hpe.com.
Make sure that you are running the latest version of HPE Power Protector available at https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_2722722115c644f9a8c5c7c3c1.
One or two screenshots showing the exact error while discovering the UPS in HPE PP would help more to dig down in the issue.
Also you may try using HPE Power Manager application available at https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX-6053082902cd4a7ba5f1ea4ed2.
Regards,
KK

SolutionHi KK,
sorry for the delay in replying.
I believe the UPS is G2 although the manual has no refernce to this.
Where you have been helpful is pointing me to the "Power Manager" application.
This works and I am now up and running.
Thank you,
Derek.
