HPE SSD RAID 5 Poor Speed

Dear all,

we have configured RAID 5 using HPE SSD 1.9TB,

We have 8 SSD disk and created RAID 5, we have enabled write cache at the controller P440. the speed is really slow than our SAS Raid5.

Can someone please advise what am i doing wrong?

Please share the below-required information to isolating the issue.

  1. Share the SSD hard disk model number and hard disk current firmware.
  2. Share the SA P440 controller's current firmware.
  3. Current bios version.
  4. What is the issue?
  5. When did this issue occur? Date and Time?
  6. Was there any activity carried out on this server prior to the issue? If yes, please share the details.
  7. Any hardware/software changes made? If yes, please share the details.
  8. Any external storage connected.

to have those info i need ot reboot a production server.

one question i have RAID 6 SSD " model hp 816876-005" enable cache 70% read.

i've been doing some reading and understand dont need to enable cache on the ssd raid.

is this true ?
