Help with shutting down Esx-i server after a time delay on a RT3000 G2 UPS
Hi.
I have an RT3000 G2 UPS and HP Power Protector software (running on VMWare Assistant VM). I have configured HP PP to run a script on power failure. I have the Shutdown option set to "script" at the moment. The script works fine. However I'm trying to avoid the server shutting down for small power cuts. The script runs immediately on a power blip, and ignores the "Shutdown after n" option you can set. I think this is by design. If I choose shutdown type to "Shutdown" - which I think is meant to obey the "Shutdown after n" setting, there is no way I can see to issue a command to the ESXi server to power off.
Does anyone know how to properly set this up so the ESXi server only shuts down if the power hasn't come back online after a set time?
Thanks.
