Internal drives on Proliant G5 and Integrity rx3600 and rx6600
Hi,
Are the internal drives of the Proliant DL380 G5 the same as on the HP integrity rx6600?
The internal drives on the HP Integrity are:-
Internal Hard Drives
36 GB 10K RPM Hot Plug Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) 2.5 inch Drive AD140A
73 GB 10K RPM Hot Plug Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) 2.5 inch Drive AD141A
The internal drives on the Proliant are :-
Hard Drives
SFF SAS - Hot Plug
HP 146GB 3G SAS 10K 2.5" SFF SP HDD
431958-B21
HP 72GB 3G SAS 10K 2.5" SFF SP HDD
375861-B21
HP 36GB 3G SAS 10K 2.5" SFF SP HDD
375859-B21
Are these the same drives with a different part number?
Has anybody had any experience with this?
THanks
Andrew

Re: Internal drives on Proliant G5 and Integrity rx3600 and rx6600
I've not checked precisely (eg via partsurfer.hp.com or other tools) but it could _very_ well be the case that the drives for the Integrities ship with different firmware than the drives for the ProLiants.
I've not looked, is there much of a price delta between them?
BTW, AD140A etc are product numbers. A product may have one or more parts associated with it. I suspect the same holds true for the ProLiant discs.
