LBA in a HP Srever

I am trying to understand what an LBA is in a HP_UX Server.

Does LBA mean in simple term a PCI slot.

Please correct me.

"A local bus adapter (the LBA, one for each PCI card slot in the chassis). The LBA connects its corresponding PCI card slot with the system bus adapter."
I am not sure it is same for all H/W like
PARISC/integrity/Superdome.

Thanks to all for their responses.

After I run through these respons I understand that for every PCI slot there is LBA which provides access to the SBA.

So if I want to create a vpar i can either specific the I/O address upto LBA or PCI slot.
Both would yield the same result.

Hope I've understood it properly
