N Class Terminal
I have been asked to administer an N class server, but it had no manual available. I have hooked up a HP terminal, model 700/96 and have tried with vt100 and vt220 and HP terminal emulation but I am not getting any response. I don't really know a lot about the N class or terminal settings.....Can anyone help?? what is the local consle port expecting?
Many thanks in advance,
Sam

Re: N Class Terminal
Hello,
Which cables are you using?
You have to connect the cable like this: 25-pin connector (which really isn't 25-pin) to the left side of the connector on the console... the other end (9-pin) to the W-cable end marked "Console". The W-cable is a cable with 3 ends; one marks "Remote", one "UPS", the other "Console". This W-cable should be connected to the console port on the N-Class.
HTh,
Vince
