Power Manager 4.0 Cannot See UPS
Server OS: Windows 2003 SP1
Server: HP proliant DL320 G2
UPS: Compaq ??
(Model is not indicated on unit. It's a Compaq UPS, probably at least 4yrs old.)
Power Manager cannot communicate with the UPS. Windows Device Manager detects the UPS as a PowerWare UPS on COM1, but there are no drivers installed. The UPS is not disabled, it looks ready to go.
Any idea how I can get PM4 to talk to this UPS?

Re: Power Manager 4.0 Cannot See UPS
I am curious as to what UPS it is exactly. On the bacl opf the UPS by the power cord there should be a sticker with the model number of the UPS. If it is too old the PM 4.0 may not work with it but I would need to double check that. You can also use LanSafe if you are just needing a quick test of the UPS to make sure everything is working properly.
Sounds like COM port and cable is OK if windows PNP detected the UPS.
