Processor(s) for HPE Proliant

Good Morning!
What is the best environment:
server with 01 12C and 20T processor or server with 02 8C and 8T processors? For the second case, would it be the same as having 16C and 16T?
It will be for a virtualization server.
Sorry for bad English.

Appreciate.

Re: Processor(s) for HPE Proliant

Hello bhenriquecs,

Virtualization is really a very big topic. Designing a server is mainly driven by the CPU power & memory. Subsequently, I would recommend to get acquainted with Gen10 servers and some reference architectures. Please have a look at the below links. The 3rd link has a table with latest available Intel processors with HPE proliant servers.

Reference Architectures for HPE Integrated Systems

HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 specs

Hope it helps.
