I am experiencing startup failure of a Proliant ML310 Gen8 v2 server. Initialization reaches 20% but hangs at Memory checkup.. I

SolutionSuggest you try reseating the memory dimms. if that doesn't work, take it down to a base memory config with 1 or 2 dimms. By swapping dimms in and out you can determine which dimm may be failing. If that doesn't work you can also reset the bios to default settings.

Hello,
I would suggest you share the POST error message or IML error for further investigation.
You can try to power drain for boot the server.
(Power off the server ,remove both all the power cable from the server and hold on power button for 30 sec.)
