Quesion for the older ones among you! Bios for ML370 P17 (G1)
Hi All
Obviously this is a very old rack mount server which was working until the cmos battery expired recently.
Machine won't boot it shuts down after testing the processors, which pass. New battery already fitted.
In mantainence mode it stays running and wants a rompaq floppy disc.
I've had to setup a new account as my old one I can't rember the detials from 15 years ago!
I'm assuming this is the correct download? https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_UNITY_I17423
However HPE won't let me download it as I don't have a service agreement on my 20 year old server, or is there something I've missed?
Regards,
Gavin

Hi,
I guess I should have tried Google! I prefer to download from official sites but why not.
Thanks for your reply
Do you know if that update works for a blank start the same as an update?
Regards,
Gavin

Consider a hardware upgrade.
Meanwhile you can get a Gen8 Proliant cheap.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
