R5500 UPS - Loss of redundant communication
I have a R5500 UPS with an ERM module, connected to a server running the HP UPS Management Module software.
The software has started reporting a "critical alarm" saying "Loss of redundant communication".
What does this mean?
Could it be that the ERM module is not correctly installed?

Re: R5500 UPS - Loss of redundant communication
When I did a search on this problem all I found was your post of a year or so ago.
Here is the answer:
Make sure you specify the first UPS's IP, and the second UPS on all your servers' Agent software is set to No Server (Management Sever 1 and 2) otherwise you get this error all the time . This setting is for redundant UPS setup.
Other Details:
On the UPS look for servers with RU error - this means they are communicating with more than one UPS...
RU—The agent is communicating with both UPSs and
both UPSs have normal status.
AS—The agent is communicating with the management
module.
