Rack dimensions

I have a C2786a rack and I need to know the distance between the columns (not the holes in the front columns). I tried measuring but it doesn't seem to be a standard fraction of an inch (probably even millimeters but I don't have a metric measure). A pointer to HP documentation with the info would be ideal.
