TC2120 addon serial card

I need to add a serial port to an HP TC2120 P4-2.66 SCSI server. (335874-001) I tried a generic serial PCI card at which point the server would power up but not boot. Is this a BIOS issue? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

You need to find Brand that would be compatible with ProLiant server, HW Compatibility List. Some Company have Tested Serial Card in Proliant servers, contact your local reseller usually they have some third Party Names handy
