Re: The Rackmount Console Switch J1497A in cascade
1. Do a basic install for each Slave unit to the servers.
2. Plug the 25-pin ???D??? connector of your input cable into any available server port
on the rear of your Master Rackmount Console Switch.
3. Plug the 15-pin video connector on the other end of the cable into the port
labeled on your ???rst cascading switch. Plug the PS/2 mouse connector, into the port. Plug the keyboard connector into the port.
4. Connect the Master as a standard install to your mouse, keyboard and video.
To switch to a computer that is connected to the master through a slave unit:
Type the number fo the port to which the slave unit is connected followed by a dash and the number fo the port on the slave unit to which the computer is connected. For example: to switch to the computer connected to Port 3 of a slave unit connected to port 1 of the master, Press PRINT SCREEN, 1,-,3,enter.

Re: The Rackmount Console Switch J1497A in cascade
The user??s manual indacates that steps, but for example...
Can I put another switch box as a third component on the chain? or is a 2nd level chain only, and I have to fill the other ports on primary?
And if the 3th component is possible, how it confugures 1-x-x?
There is a command "Cascade SW 1" is a valid command on the switch? and if so... How it works...?
