UPS R3000 communication controller firmware

Hi

can someone explain the difference between the firmware version of the UPS and the firmware version of the UPS communications controller.

I have UPS's that have version 2 of the firmware but the comms controller firmware is only 1.4.

Should they be in sync or is 1.4 the latest version of the comms controller firmware, if not how\where do we get the latest version and what is it?

We have the 6 port management cards in the UPS's.

Hi Jeff,

Your 6-port card is an option card to the UPS so it is commonly their FW aren't the same. Go to Rac and Power website:
http://www.hp.com/go/rackandpower

Select Software section then under UPS, select UPS/Option Firmware you will find FW for all UPS models and UPS Options. Your 6-port card's latest FW is 1.04
