UPS R3000XR ERM error: firmware upgrade needed no UPS found
J4367A=R3000XR UPS
+ 1 ERM
+ Lansafe III HPUX 11.00, L2000 A5191A rp5450
Problem:
1. Lansafe III doesn't communicate with UPS, cannot be configured nor changes saved, starts after 2 tries or more,
2. ERM configurator 1.2.2 error:
"firmware upgrade needed no UPS found"
3. Firmware upgrade:
- to 1.04 - transmission breaks, EE update fails
- to 1.07 - pwflash1.exe OK, but EE update error:
"13 type mismatch 9 no UPS found"
UPS hardware (batteries, inverter) works fine, power switching works fine.
Where is the problem?

Re: UPS R3000XR ERM error: firmware upgrade needed no UPS found
The ERM config 1.2.2 exact error is: "Connecting... UPS code needs upgrade to newer version Done".
I'm still working on the Lansafe3 issue but it seems that there are 2 separate problems: 1 hardware with ERM and 1 software with Lansafe3.

Re: UPS R3000XR ERM error: firmware upgrade needed no UPS found
... After some days of hard work:
The solution for problem no.1:
Change GSP card on L2000 from rev.A to rev.B!!! Rev.A doesn't work with 19200 baud which is required by R3000XR.
Still looking for answer for questions 2 & 3.

Re: UPS R3000XR ERM error: firmware upgrade needed no UPS found
ad. 3. EE Update error: " run-time error 13 type mismatch".
During firmware upgrade pwflash.exe works fine, but EE Update fails.
This error can be avoided by setting the Decimal Symbol in any Windows Regional Settings to "." (dot) - in my case it was set to "," (comma). After modification everything works fine.
ad. 2. ERM Configurator error "Connecting... UPS code needs upgrade to newer version Done".
This is caused by unfinished fmw upgrade - run EE Update again (see Q no 3). You don't have to upgrade fmw to the newer version.
4. If you see all the UPS lights flashing red after pwflash.exe, don't be afraid :), just close the application and run download once again - this will help, the UPS leds will be green.
