Web link?
Wasn't there a web link that would give you warranty and system info when you entered the server serial number? I found one for the warranty, but I also need to know what was installed when it shipped.
BTW, anyone know what the "product number" is for a Compaq Proliant ML530? (it's not the S/N nor "ML530") Thanks! - Jason

Re: Web link?
I know of a few possible ways to find what you're looking for.
You can use the ITRC to link a waranty to your user id. If it is a valid warranty and you have the corerct info, this site will show you a few details about it.
-> click on my profile
-> link a warranty to your user id
-> put in the product# and serial#
If the product# and serial# are found and match, it should show you details.... not sure about showing what s/w was installed though.
The other way I could think of is through another url where you had to register to get a login/pass. I don't have the link handy, but from what I remember it didn't look like it was for warranty info... but support contract info. I'll post the link if I remember it at work in the morning.
As for getting the product number for an ML530... this is too generic.. need more info to get the product number. Have a look at http://partsurfer.hp.com and you'll see what I mean.
Once at partsurfer, search for "an hp product number or name" using ML530. If you know enough about the specs of your server, this should help you narrow it down and identify the right product number.
good luck!
