brand new ProLiant DL385 Gen10 Plus with HPE Smart Array P816i-a SR Gen10. installed esxi 7, runs a few vm. withint 2 weeks, 2 times the server was found early morning with unresponsible vm. datastore connexion was lost in esxi logs. in iLo i see "adapter located in Slot 12 is not responsive." we reboot to fix this. lastest bios and drivers are installed. if we see this msg in iLo that means it's hardware related and not "OS dependant", right ? It failed both time when a lot of data transfert was going on during the night. i try to look for smartarray logs but how to i access that ? (install client in a windows vm gui ?)

Update HPE Smart Array P816i-a SR Gen10. firmware 3.0 not 3.53
I would suggest you IML error or any POST screen for isolate the issue.
OR
You have to log a proper case with HPE, and share the appropriate logs for further analysis.
