cant connect to the UPS R5500XR Managment Card

Reasenently i've got an HP R5500XR UPS and i want to use it in my Rack.

The problem with it is that i cant connect to the Seriell interface of the UPS Management Card that is in the UPS.

The managemnt Card has RJ45 Ports on the back with one Configuration port.

I allready tried to use an adapter from RJ45 to DB9 but it didnt work. Im just getting random numbers if i press any key of my keyboard.

I hope someone can Help me.

you need the special DB-9 to RJ-45 adapter delivered with the UPS, settings:

o Bits per second—115200
o Data bits—8
o Parity—None
o Stop bits—1
o Flow control—None

"random numbers" on the screen point to wrong connection speed and settings.

So with the pinout of the Adapter i managet to build a Adapter myself and finally it works.
Because i set the right speed an the right type of Connection i was confused why there are random Numbers, but know with the right cable it works
