difference btn GSP and MP

I want to know difference btn GSP and MP.

Basically its the name

GSP guardian service processor

MP management processor

iLO integrated lights out


In older servers it was called GSP, nowadays in current servers it is called MP/iLO.

Some additional features have been added over the time.

GSP can be considered as the old name for MP.

Some other predecessors of the todays MP's are:

AP - access port (e.g. D-class servers)
SP - service processor (T-class servers)
SSP - service support processor (V-class servers)
...

The idea behind was all the time the same, more or less.
