The Administrator has left our org and we need to reset the console password. I know the factory default is OSCAR, but don't know how to reset. I have try holding down the reset button and powering on the unit but it didn't work. Any ideas????

How can connect the serial and reset the KVM back to factory specs, includng password??

Hi ISP,

I'm afraid you are going to have to call HP Support for this. It involves generating a 16-digit device number from the console login screen and then someone from HP has to generate a temporary pass code. Evidently, HP did not want unauthorized people to just learn how to do it and then reset it on their own.
