logical drive queued for rebuild

HPE Microserver Gen8 had drive 3 fail in 1+0 RAID, replaced drive with HP model indicated to be same as the system reported Seagate model within the Smart Storage Administrator for the B120i controller. Since replacing the drive, the status message has been at Logical Drive 1 queued for rebuilding, but hasn't changed, thus we determined rebuild is not occurring. Looking at drives on ADU report I see that original 3 drives are listed as 1TB 512e with Logical/Physical 512e/4096 bytes, and new drive listed as 1TB with 512/512 bytes. Is this a drive compatibility issue? or do i need to update firmware on controller or drives? or force the rebuild in some manner?

Re: logical drive queued for rebuild

Hello Sir,.

Is this a drive compatibility issue?

check the compatablit between the HDD and B120i controller

https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c03326739

B120i controllers—SATA or SATA SSD drivesoFor B320i controllers—SATA, SATA SSD, or SAS drivesACU does not allow mixing SAS and SATA drives in the same arra

or

do i need to update firmware on controller

if the firmware is old we suggest to keep the firmware and dirver to latest

or

drives? or force the rebuild in some manner?

There is no option to force the rebuild on the controller.

Thank you
