Get insights on cybersecurity from an ex-FBI expert: Join HPE at SpiceWorld Virtual 2020

Find out how your small or midsized business can defend against cybercrime from a former FBI senior cybersecurity scientist, now an HPE Distinguished Technologist. Just one of the highlights at this year’s virtual event.

Like so many other industry events this year, SpiceWorld is going virtual. SpiceWorld Virtual 2020 will be coming to your screens September 15–20; it will feature, as the event organizers describe it, “tons of tech-rich sessions, one-to-one face time with experts, networking, parties, and non-stop fun!”

HPE Small Business IT Solutions Cybersecurity.pngSounds like something you won’t want to miss out on, and HPE will definitely be part of the action. We’re especially excited about a session that will be of great interest to small and midsized businesses. On Tuesday, Sept. 15, 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. CDT, HPE and Intel will be presenting Cyberthreats and Small Business – Learn from an FBI Cybercrimes Expert. The speaker will be James Morrison, HPE Distinguished Technologist for Cyber Security. James spent 22 years as a Senior Computer Scientist with the FBI, where he worked on numerous national security and criminal intrusion investigations, analyzing security vulnerabilities and implementing solutions. He joined HPE in December of 2019 and now brings that deep expertise to businesses in a wide range of sectors. You can find a short summary of the session on SpiceWorld’s agenda page. Sign up for SpiceWorld Virtual 2020 here; it’s free!

It’s hard to imagine a hotter topic for SMBs right now. Hackers have been relentlessly targeting smaller companies for the past few years, and the push to implement remote environments in response to the COVID-19 outbreak has created new vulnerabilities. As James puts it: Bad things happen to good businesses! But you can do something about it. Catch James’s session to learn:

  • How pervasive security underpins the edge-centric, cloud-enabled, data-driven enterprise of the future
  • Why the rise of networks connecting multiple intelligent devices means that data and control must be secured at every point
  • Why hardware-based security is the essential foundation for data center security solutions
  • How HPE provides a secure continuum built into every layer of the stack, from edge to cloud.

You also won’t want to miss our virtual booth at the event, where we’ll be featuring a smorgasbord of resources designed to help smaller businesses tackle the major challenges they’re facing today. *Spoiler alert* – here are some example resources that you can access right now, but we’ll be posting a lot more at the event.

Protecting Your Data Center from Home. This video looks at HPE Integrated Lights Out (iLO) remote server management technology and how it helps you guard against cyberattacks by enabling you to securely configure, monitor, and update your HPE servers from anywhere in the world.

The Myth of the 100% Cloud World. A knowledge brief from Aberdeen explains why companies are increasingly taking a more balanced view of the relative benefits of public cloud and on-prem infrastructure, and choosing a hybrid approach that includes the best of both worlds.

Small but Mighty: The HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen 10 Plus. A quick video introduction to HPE’s newly reimagined solution for smaller businesses and its key features, including silicon root of trust security, cloud-to-edge connectivity, and AI that predicts and prevents problems before they happen.

Another great reason to visit our virtual booth – you can sign up for one-on-one chats with our SMB experts!
